Calendar 2007 Special Notes: River Guide School June 17-22, 2007 This is the 15th year Redwoods and Rivers will be conducting this fun and exciting 6-Day River Guide program. Among many of the things covered are: paddle guiding rafts, reading whitewater, anatomy of rivers, low impact wilderness camping, outdoor food preparation for groups, natural and cultural history, team building, outdoor leadership, river safety, river etiquette, and swift water rescue techniques. Teamwork and decision-making are taught and practiced throughout our school. Redwoods and Rivers Guide School is a non-competitive program designed for anyone wishing to gain knowledge of running rivers, and for river enthusiasts wanting to become professional river guides.
